The Armed Forces Shootout is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and 100% of proceeds go directly to the Bird’s Eye View Project, ensuring your participation and support make a measurable, lasting difference.

The Armed Forces Shootout (AFS) was founded with a mission to make a real, life-changing impact for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.
Through the sportfishing community’s generosity, the AFS provides our nation’s heroes with a weekend of connection, camaraderie, and purpose — while raising critical funds to prevent veteran suicide

Every year, the AFS brings together more 20 sportfishing teams and 30+ active-duty and veteran anglers in Abacos, Bahamas.
Boat owners and crews volunteer their vessels to host U.S. veterans and special warfare operators for two unforgettable days of fishing and fellowship.
What happens on the water is far more than a tournament — it’s a shared experience that builds trust, rekindles brotherhood, and reminds our heroes that they are never alone.

Since its inception in 2022, the AFS has contributed over $150,000 to support the Bird’s Eye View Project — funding cognitive research, rehabilitation programs, and veteran support initiatives that directly combat veteran suicide.
22 veterans take their own lives every day. That number isn’t just a statistic — it’s a call to action. The fight is not over —our work has just begun.
Every dollar raised, every fish released, and every smile on the dock represents another step toward saving lives.
